Anyone familiar with how to wire aux driving lamps to turn on/off with the high beams but also have the ability to kill the aux lamps with the switch leaving the high beams on? Or better yet is there anyone that knows how to do this that is willing to give me some help with the install in exchange for some pizza/beer?
The install will be PIAA 520 ATP on my '06 2.5i

Find the wiring diagram for hella 500's and wire them exactly that way. They tap into the power for the high beams, and subaru toggles ground to turn lights on and off, so the lights will be able to be turned on anytime the parking brake isn't set or your headlights are on. If you are anywhere near norway I'll help you wire them

I custom wired the lights in my GL like this.
High/low work as normal. Or if I hit the switch the hellas come on with the high, but go off with the low, like normal.
Update your location with something more useful than US or Maine. That's assumed.
If you're close to the Damariscotta area, I can give you a hand.

My hella's just came in today and I'm going to be doing the same thing sometime hopefully in the near future. However, I have to fabricate some brackets first in order to mount them. If I need a hand, would you mind if I asked for some help? Looks like you actually have these up and running now from other pics/threads I've seen.
Another good resource though is Chris Apkarian. Also known as The Lighting Guru on the forums!

You still up for this buddy? Some upcoming weekend perhaps? (Wouldn't be this weekend, but perhaps the next one?)

this weekend won't work. I think I'm going to be in Bangor, or something. I'm not sure. The next weekend might work, though.

Yeah this weekend isn't good for me either. Got too much going on... plus it's Super Bowl weekend! I'll touch base with you later next week and see if you might be available. If not, no biggie... I can jump into this myself and see how far I can get!
