So this is a real opportunity for all you performance oriented Subaru guys to get out and run what feels like a track day w/o the cost or danger to your vehicle. Last year we got in five 2 minute runs on saturday and at least as many Sunday. I encourage all to attent and you can save money by camping on the runway, or we established a deal with a local hotel this year. if you have any questions PM me and ill see what I can answer or direct you in the proper direction.

below is the general information for the event.

Mark your calendar for Loring 2012! Cumberland Motor Club will return to the massive runways of Loring on Aug 11, 2012 and August 12, 2012.

Cumberland Motor Club is an autocross club which has been running safe autocross events in Maine for the last 54 years. CMC follows SCCA classing rules and has very similar course design and event running procedures. We run safe, fun events, and our flagship event is run at the former Loring Airforce Base Strategic Air Command Runways. If this place were a country, it wouldn't be the smallest one. The paved area here dwarfs the nationals site. It has a 3 mile long, 300 ft wide, mostly glassy smooth runway surface which we generally ignore in favor of the enormous pads at the ends. This venue offer elevation changes (a B-52 width section of pavement runs uphill to a huge concrete nuclear disarmament pad), and a banked oval/D shaped B-52 turn around pad which are sometimes used as part of the course designs.

Based on the reactions to the 2011 event, you will not want to miss the year's event. Courses typically run on asphalt, usually with some parts run on concrete. Course designs are typically like SCCA Nationals, except longer, and perhaps a little faster in the fastest sections

In 2011, each competitor got roughly 3-4 times what is available at a typical CMC autocross , with a total start to finish distance of about 1.3 miles, and a start to finish to start transit of 3 miles. Our target for 2012 is substantially greater attendance and for every competitor to get around 8 runs per day and around 90 second per run by running a littler later Saturday, and starting a little earlier Sunday. Like last year, folks are coming from Maine, Massachusetts , Vermont, New Hampshire, and New Brunswick.

The entry fee is $55 per registration, per day with a $10 discount for pre-registering. Pre-register at https://axwaresystems.com/axorm/calen.../url."]https://axwaresystem.../calen.../url]. Payment is not required until check-in on-site.

Huge bonus: Entrants are allowed to register twice per day as long as they have two different cars to drive.

Free camping on-site is allowed, and there is a group rate discount for the event at a local convention center hotel.

5+ runs per day at 2+ min each= 10+min of seat time each day.

you can enter two cars so double that.

cost is 35 per day for members 45 for non (you get a 1 time guest membership)

so 2 cars for 2 days as a member only costs 140
