A severe thunderstorm just went by and knocked out the power. Here is a picture of the tree in our driveway that got hit by lighting.

Nice. I have seen more trees like that than I can even count. Hope they get a tree crew out there to remove it quickly for you!

Thanks, I just called CMP again and they said they couldn`t give me a time but the truck does have our order for repairing power and removing the tree.

Definitely not smart to do if the tree is on the wires. I have seen some scary shit. Biggest thing is the lines aren't always dead.

Yea, I don't touch anything that involves wires. I have solar so I'm safe cleaning up things around my place, but out on the road, EEK! I stay away. 11kv isn't a joke.
