Not a good day.

As some of you know, i had a 93 Legacy SS not long ago.  Sold it to a kid down the road who just HAD to have it, and I had a bad feeling about it. I even talked to his dad about it, told him it wasnt a regular old Subaru like they normally drive, and to keep an eye on him.  Well, yesterday he lost control of it at what I would guess was a high rate of speed, skid marks look horrible. Rolled at least twice by the looks. He broke his arm, and had a bunch of cuts on his face and neck. Later last night, he started acting funny in the hospital, brain was swelling I guess. Hes still alive, but VERY messed up right now. I checked the car out, it almost twisted the nose off it, battery was about 200 ft from the car, pieces everywhere. Id say he is lucky to be breathing right now by the looks of the car. I guess just be careful who you sell a WRX or something like that to. I know this isn't my fault, but I wish i had just told him no.

The thing is you can do that in any car. Car just gets to high speeds faster than most. Cars only 160 hp stock back in 93. Not your fault.

It sucks to hear about people crashing, especially when it involves a Sport sedan Legacy. Hopefully the kid will make a quick recovery and learn from this experience.

He has a pretty serious concussion, and his arm is a mess, plus all the cuts, but i guess hes in "bad but OK" shape now.  He swears he is going to get another Subaru and get that motor in there with the 2.5 head swap. Im going to catch up with him today and see how he really is.  ill keep you guys posted, if he junks the car, there may be some very useful parts to be had. id like to get the motor back for my 2000 2dr.. but we'll see.
