Hello all I'm new to the forum and the turbo world. When I say money pit I don't mean it in a bad way, but as you fallow my build u will understand. I'll try to post pics later from my iPad but on my phone its hard.

To start with I bought a 2004 rally blue Subaru WRX 5speed.The miles are a little high @170k but body is rust free and damage free,a really clean stock car. A kid had bought car from original owner for $9000+ running in seemingly topnotch condition. This kid had some really bad luck about 3 months later. Raced a friend with cold motor and spun a rod bearing.

It took me 3 months but I bought the car for 2600.00.and bought a OEM short block for $2300.00 And sent the heads to the machine shop $750.00 after all this is where I go crazy.

Awesome, looks like a great parts list.

Look forward to seeing some #'s when it's all said and done. Nice pickup

YARRR SUBY MONSTER!!
Ahhhh shiny new engine! Are you replacing the pistons, too? The stock subaru ones suck.

All stock shortblock, heads and a few Bolt on's. tunning shop said stock  pistons with a good tune will go 100k @ 270whp. You just have to treat it with respect.

New alternator is one of the last things I need to buy. That and my power steering pump is so ugly but works fine do I can't afford to replace that yet.

Shes alive alive!!!!!! Hahaha, I know its just a stock short block, with shot-ton of aftermarket Boltons, but I feel like a mad scientist breathing life in to my little monster. The 12mile test drive was amazing. I was real easy on her,Never giving it to her hard. The car was really smooth and I only brought her up to 3600rpm. No check engine light no problems of any sort. Just a few things to double check and home she comes.

OK I got to say today was a fun day. I went Kinetic Motorworks to get my fresh motor a protune. The guys all treated me great and complemented me on the clean car I found for a great price. This is my first trip to a tune shop and won't be my last I pulled respectable DD numbers. My numbers are 256whp @ 6200rpm and 240 torque @ 3700 boost target 19lb. Thank you guys and I'll be back as soon as I can! Also I got a badass aluminum coolant tank top in black!
