Irritating ticking

Hi, I have a 2.5 in my 2008 OB. It sounds like a sewing machine. Tick tick tick...I've had a few Subaru's that ticked until warm up. My 02 forester is silent due to the elderly lady that owned it prior, took it in to have it fixed every time it made a noise! Lol is there an adjustment that has to be made around 100,000 miles? Any good Subaru shops in Maine? Thanks everyone.

You most likely have a loose valve in one of the heads. There are tons of good subaru mechanics who could tighten it up for you. What part of the state are you in?

Crossroads referred me to a guy, who's name escapes me. Looks like I may need an adjustment. And only $200! Sweet! Thanks!
