This is an older thread, so I was wondering if the kits were still starting at $65? I see on your site that you are selling them at $80. I was interested in the getting the 6k and 3k combo that were talking about for my 2005 LGT.
I didn't take the time to read all of the thread, but with this kit will I be losing my DRL's? I really don't know alot about this stuff, but I know that I want them!

Thanks

You're right about losing the daytime running lights...I just keep my low beams on all the time with the HID kit. I have also heard running HIDs as high beams isn't a great idea...I think because it takes a second or two for the bulb to warm up and they "don't like" being turned off and on often. $80 is a great deal for this set (although $65 is even better!). I have had mine for about a month and I love them...they brighten up the road, they are really easy to install and are easy on the eyes...when your inside the car and out!

Thanks Mike. I don't really use the high beams to much as it is, so I was just planning doing the lows. If it wasn't too pricey I would see about doing the bling lights also.

Anyone having any issues with the Bi-Xenon kits? I love the light output, but sometimes I have one high beam that won't turn on, sometimes it's one, sometimes it's the other one that doesn't. And sometimes I even have one low beam that doesn't come on. I can always get them working again by messing around with the wires etc, but it's a pain in the ass at night when my highbeams don't work sometimes

Here is a good place to start if you dont know much about HID's or lighting in general.

WDP,
DRLs suck, and can be defeated by a small plug under the hood.
You don't want HID DRLs, they'd age too quickly.
(Oddly, HID ballasts usually fail due to repeated ignition, not bulb failure.)
HID Lo's and fogs ftw.

I got the HIDs in my 2009 WRX. 6000k lows and 3000k fogs. Looks great and now I can tell what part of the light is comming from which bulbs based on small differences in the hue of the illumination. Its pretty damn cool. Thanks guys, great kit, relatively easy installation too.

sry about takeing years to reply to this but the problem isnt the ballist or the bulbs its the power. since HID us capacitors and electronics to fire up they need over 12V to work propuley to fire up. if u just started your car or theres a power load on the car, loud stereo ,HVAC, jumping another car ext, ur car dosnt have enough voltage or current for the HIDs 2 turn on. try turning them on while in motion so the Alternator will be putting out 13 Volts.

if your HID lights ever stop working again try parking, reving while turning them on. this will give the sufficient power to turn on.

How do you know if you got the Bi-Zenon? I didn't see any option for this on the ordering forms. My HIDs don't seem any brighter than the stock Halogens did, just a different color shade. Actually, I think they may be a little dimmer than the halogens were.

I actually noticed the same thing as Ryan did...seems my HID lights are a little dimmer than the Silverstars I used to run. I also have to switch my lights off and on when I start the car to get them both on...
One of my lights did go out a couple days ago, I'll have to check the bulb and then decide if it is worth getting now HID bulbs off Amazon or just go back to Silverstars...either way it seems like I go through bulbs way too quickly. I bought the HID kit from subiemods.com less than a year ago on a great deal. I have a feeling that it might be because I was running them both during the day and at night...and most of you already know that I drive my car a LOT! Nearly 112,000 miles on a 2007...probably was time for the light to go anyway!
