Thanks for the info guys. The exhaust is the Random Technology system for the 2.5 N/A engine. I purchased it from Xcelleration.com about 3 years ago, it is a cat back and there is no resonator with it. The mid-pipe is 2.5" which gives it a nice rumble. It does have a nice bark to it around 4k...

Anyone know where the noise level of an exhaust system can be checked? In Maine I believe the maximum noise level is 95 decibels. I believe mine is right on the cusp of it, and this morning the town cop gave me a warning (not written) so I would like to check mine without having to buy a meter...

On my 05 n/a Baja, I have Borla U/L headers with a Random Tech C/B exhaust, stock CAT and 2.5" dia. all the way back. The rumble is incredible There are some who say that 2.5" is to much, and that you lose low end torque, but in the 2 1/2 years that I have been running it, I have no regrets...

The clutch has been replaced and adjusted. All is well as far as that goes, but now there is a small exhaust leak where the exhaust header bolts to the heads. This is a single port two bolt flange on a 2.2 N/A , the exhaust gaskets are new, and upon inspection, it looks like the flange is tilted...

Its a seven year /100,000 mile warranty, and I only have 70.000 miles. Also it's summer and I don't want to be without the car during the camping season. I can check my oil more frequently till fall. Plus, in the fall and with cooler temps the slapping is more pronounced and takes longer to go...
