xtp stage 2 with launch control

And my car won't blow up.. because I've tuned it properly.... Which at the same time, I think my RPM in 5th gear at 30mph (mind you I have much larger than stock tires) is much to log to drive like that. I don't really understand your reasoning. Yes, too much boost and/or too lean = kaboom...

xtp stage 2 with launch control

Not really.... I've been running 11.5:1 a/f and sometimes a little leaner and 19-20psi and I haven't done that yet? So that is untrue.

    Good stuff!!

    who can reflash?

Negative, I believe that is not a Canbus Ecu so therefore a V2 would not be needed (I think)

xtp stage 2 with launch control

That is a great idea. As Andy mentioned.. you'd really have to rescale the MAF for a different intake then stock especially to be safe running the car with a leaner A/F and at higher boost.

    who can reflash?

Actually the 02 takes a white one (single wire) and the 03-05 has the blue one (two wire). You don't actually 'need' the connector as you can use regular wire to get around it, but its much easier to have the connector (not to mention if you accidentally kicked the connection while it was...

xtp stage 2 with launch control

It all depends on what you want and what turbo you have. I've seen data that aftermarket headers actually cause the turbo to spool more slowly, but I believe top end is increased. PnP'd stock headers gives you some better flow for the top end, which not losing as much in the spooling. The...

xtp stage 2 with launch control

You can build some boost without anti-lag, but it is minimal. The biggest thing is consistency. A lot of the reason I had it was with it I could not get carried away on a big run at the end of the day trying to get a great launch and accidentally launch at 5 grand (I generally kept mine pretty...

xtp stage 2 with launch control

It doesn't mean Transmission problems and clutch failure automatically. I ran the launch control for a season of autox on my 04 and have no problems and I'm still on the original clutch at 104k miles. But let me add, I do agree the launching on the street is pointless and dangerous, and...

xtp stage 2 with launch control

Nah.. I'm sure it was awesome but.. sometimes happens with the mods, I understand. Just and FYI... be careful with Launch Control for the obvious reasons. (not to mention spooling at 12mph in a school zone in the rain never goes well)

xtp stage 2 with launch control

Well he should have his definitions for the mods that his Stage 2 encompasses. Generally that would be a Downpipe at a minimum among other things. If you were thinking about it for you, and you have a VF39 as your SN says, likely this would not be for you. Unless specified it would be for a...

Open source for the fsxt...where to start?

Unplug your boost control solenoid wire and you wont overboost. And I'm more than willing to help folks. Last weekend was sports weekend (Friday at Fenway and Sunday at the 'Garden' for game 5 with the B's). -----Added 5/12/2009 at 01:30:46----- Is that the guy that does the XPT tuning stuff...

    Tuning for new mods

Alright, First off, I'll give you a hand in reflashing the car. I'm going to try to get down that weekend. Second of all, as far as overboosting, this can happen, but it will not happen nearly as bad as the 2.5L motor. You have a 2.0 (unless you've made a swap) and that should not overboost...

    spt intake torque loss

I actually found that regardless of intake, if I got below 3500 rpm life really sucked until I got back above it, I think its less the filter and more the nature of a WRX.

Cobb Accessport Safe for higher mileage vehicles?

Every car is different, but I'd imagine you'd be fine. The accessport, in terms of tuning, is rather conservative, but really adds a lot compared to stock (stage 1 and their stage 2)

I think the autocross chair has spoken to a few different state agencies in the past, so I'm pretty sure they have been ok.
