I still haven't figured out what im doing for lodging, not too worried (last year I picked sleeping in my car to get a decent nights sleep one night) will be tough if I have the bike though. Working scrutineering this year, looking forward to seeing how that goes.

^ Sounds good to me. Interesting the usual northern roads are not being used. Many other great ones up there though. I think concord earlier is a good idea, last year the some drunk started pushing his truck into the rear bumper of some car cause they and the 200 other cars weren't moving fast...

I beleive this is the cast iron knuckle? Sounds like its at the point where needs to be heated (knuckle) to red hot, use air hammer (snap on big one) with a ground down round punch to push out. (these are flat rate killers for me). also helps to pound the pointy end of a prybar into where joint...

I dont know what the IAC looks like on your motor. maybe dirty and stuck, maybe failed when hot? Mine sticks at high idle cold a lot cleaned it once long time ago helped.

All of the following are my opinions. At this point the smoke on startup if not fogging out the neighbor hood I would live with it, when motor is completely worn out, hopefully far in future replace with another or re seal and do valve seals etc. I would say rust could be biggest issue...
