OVERLAND04 | 2011 WRX

I'm writing this journal as a place for myself and other members to keep up with my passion of modifying, designing and installing. I've always loved to help others so almost all of my mods will have links to my write-ups and most of the custom work is available for purchase. I started this over two years ago on the NASIOC forum and have decided to bring it over here to discuss and learn more about a local community.
I live in Mid-Coast Maine and I have no desire to RallyX, Drag, AutoX, or even drive like a moron on the street, I don't know why I mod my car, I guess because it's fun and I like to know that I can go fast and look great too.
I live an hour from any highway, there is no E85, not even 93 octane here... No tuners, and no speed shops. I have the internet, UPS and a passion for cars.

Here is my 2011 Satin White Pearl Limited WRX hatchback, hope you stay for the ride!

For those that are curious about how much modifications cost. Keep in mind that this is without any labor besides the corner balance and tuning.

This is the build thread that inspired my Process West purchase when I read it on NASIOC

Great to hear man, I love the intercooler and almost two years later, it still performs and looks like new.

Sick car, that's a hell of a mod list, loooove the satin white pearl
Thanks! That list is scarry to look at every once and a while but glad I did it when I could!

Wow, among such distinguished company there. (RIP Project Dark Knight)
Yeah, it was one of the best trips I have ever taken. Actually, the group sent in the details of the trip to Subaru's Drive Performance Magazine and we will be featured in the November issue!

We are so excited and looking forward to the next trip in May.

And yes... Sad to see the Dark Knight is no longer with us.

Lately I have been thinking about swapping over the WRX console to an STi version as many have been doing lately. I do like the cup holder design a little better on the STi and it allows me to close the area when not in use.
The problem that I see with most installations of the STi console is that the STi logo and SI/DCCD area doesn't make much sense in a WRX.

Since I have heated seats and the STi uses a different switch, I had to modify the console to fit the switches.

The finished results are below and I feel that the way this was done really makes the most sense and gives the opportunity to add the console with posing to be an STi.
Also wrapped in pure black Alcantara. If there is any interest in having yours done, send me a message over at facebook.com/OverlandDesigns

Before: Stock STi console (plasti-dip and all)

Shaving the DCCD area. Made a cover out of 3/16 lexan

Lexan blocking installed: ready to fill with bondo

Filled and sanded

Holes cut for heated seat switches (if you have them)
