Spring group drive discussion

Talking with my parents a coastal drive is going to be really tough. Parking is highly limited in all the places we would want to go. If an Owls Head drive is wanted we can detour around Wiscasset and solve the biggest roadblock.

Here is an Owl's Head drive. With stops and what not it will be an all day event. The roads are all decent roads, it even goes within half of a mile of my house(easy route to avoid Wiscasset.

It really shouldn't be to much different than some of the other routes.

it's even better when u can see a inch in front you , man was it foggy that night

Yea that wasn't any fun but its hard to predict the weather so far a head.

It'll be a drive for someone regardless. I just want to make it a fun group drive for everyone to enjoy.

Yeah that Acadia drive was insanely long, and VERY foggy on the mountain!

The last group drive I did over 400 miles. Im down for wherever, but keep in mind that not everyone lives in southern Maine.

Well it seems the majority of us do live in the southern half. In hopes of the best turnout it always seems to work best for that group. But regardless this will be fun!! Now where the heck do you want to go!!!

The last group drive I did over 400 miles. Im down for wherever, but keep in mind that not everyone lives in southern Maine.

I will be driving from the Bucksport area the night before to do this, unless its on a Sunday then I will be driving back to the Bucksport area.

It'll def be a Sunday. Any more thought on the coastal route? I think once that's in place ill put the 4 routes to a club vote and then well set the date.

I would love a coastal drive but with a large group that is asking for trouble. Perhaps a simple counter clockwise loop around Sebago lake and some windy roads around there?

The only coastal drive I see possible is the last idea I put up. It does have a fair amount of backroads.

It's in the clubs hands now. You really can't deny the Kanc is a great drive but I'm all for finding new fun roads to.

Havnt even discussed that. The annual meet is may 18th. I'd like to see it before that.
