Haha just as I said before anyone who slides off, will be helped out of the ditch and constantly made fun of for the next few months after. It's just the way she goes. Lol

I kid...we leave no one behind, couple of us left the pack to help a dead Audi reach a meeting spot for a tow truck to fetch him.

I you think you can come and be ken block, rip the happy handle and drift every corner....well...we welcome you to come to, but too much sliding on these roads will most likely cause you to trash a tire or two.

The routes are designed to have fun, slid a little, twisty turny dirt roads with some wide open hilly straight dirt roads to open it up a little, a few drives ago there were a couple of nice little jumps.

I'm thinking "new lands road" this time...those that drove the first one....know exactly what I'm talking. Those that don't.......you will ave to come find out.

Lt me get working on this idea with my brother, and see what we can come up with...

The most we ever had was 15 I think....I bet with enough planning and time, we could get 20...

so i like the idea definitely. i participated in one rallyx really early in the year down at epping. went with dan and andrew. i knew that having all seasons on a track that was entirely mud was not ideal, but i still had fun. im not sure if i would be willing to drive, or be a co driver. my rally experience stems from that one event so i know that i am not good.

a few questions, if you do end up in a ditch, are they usually soft enough that you can get out in one piece and not have massive damage to suspension components and body parts? some tips on car control in dirt would be helpful, and things like car setup, if any info like tires and pressures and what not. i want to go and have a good time, but not leave with a huge hole in my wallet

Best advice? Don't write a check your tush can't cash.

Drive within your limits and you wont go in a ditch. Seriously, just corner to corner drive and you'll be fine.

I run with full recovery gear and have no qualms flat towing people out, but every event people have been responsible and kept it out of the rough.

If you're really worried, buy a skid plate for a few hundred bucks from Primative Racing and come join us. Hang out at the back of the pack and go at your own pace. You'll be fine. And if that's too much for you, seriously offer to codrive for someone (don't offer to codrive and then no show, if it happens again, I'll one month vacation people from MS)

when i had my 09 wrx, i slid down into a ditch and was able to recovery with no damage. i got lucky!

If you are scared about sliding into a ditch, then you probably won't. I had no problems with my sti, and i don't have that much experience sliding cars either, parking lots is about it

Awesome? No...epic....that's a better word to describe.

Oh and sorry folks, the road we used last time, you know...the one with notes, is closed this year...something about an emo kid shooting himself in the woods after an illegal party in the middle of no where...

Well have one in the fall, sometime in October.
Don't worry about conflicting dates...I am aiming for October too. Those that do your drive usually don't come to ours. Which is ok, because it keeps the ken block factor to a minimum.

But these drives are WAY BETTER then any drive on pavement could be

If I go on a dirt drive I gotta wait till I take my lowering springs out and set it back up for winter, driving down a dirt road with a car only 6 inches off the ground sucks.. you cant bomb around as much
