Are the xt struts lower than the regular forester struts?

I am looking for some suspension to lift my 2006 WRX for the winter. I currently have BC racing coil overs for the summer and I don't want them to get corroded. I was thinking of getting forester struts. I have heard I need 03 to 08 struts. What else would I need?

Looking for a VF39 to replace the one on my 06 WRX that Had the seals go. I'd prefer one that has lower miles to prevent the same thing happening again.
