    Covered Bridge Rallycross

Kind of helps. Wondering if I just had a brain cramp and missed seeing a gate entirely, or if I just sort of slid to the inside of a gate that I saw. Doesn't really matter. More curious than anything. considering my last rallyx was Okemo Covered bridge in 2000, I'm still happy. The car didn't...

ouch What sort of penalty is off course...like 30 seconds? That hurts, don't remember doing that Tough to do well with 54 seconds in penalties. Wondering which cone I didn't hit.

    Covered Bridge Rallycross

Man that was fun. I need to learn to stop hitting cones and I'd do half way decent. It was an absolute blast. The car was perfect for the event, gearing and the motor were a perfect match for the course. One of the few events where I walked away and told myself that the car didn't need a thing...

How much camber is too much?

<-----not an engineer, not even close. But to play devil's advocate, and hijack this a bit. Roll cages are made with hollow tubing. They don't deal with torsional stress. However, tubing is used rather than solid bar stock. Wonder why that decision was made ages ago. Ditto with bike frames...

    Covered Bridge Rallycross

Anyone coming down to this. Going to give my 2.5rs a thrashing instead of the wrx. I'll find out the week points of the new car pretty quick I think.

but you can still get more caster with some of the camber plates out there which I believe are legal. Basically you rotate the so that adjustment is going for and aft as opposed to the normal movement. Some allow both caster and camber change at the same time(but compromising the max value of both).

I also just want to drive

All in good fun. I just walked in the door from picking up our new 2000 2.5rs sedan. No real surprises. I knew some of the back lighting was out on the instrument cluster. About half way home, another bulb blew out, making it so I couldn't read the speedometer. Have to visit the dealer...

    loud spoolilng

I'll second the idea of an exhaust leak. On both of my old audis (1.8t), the exhaust broke at the flange. The flange bolted to the turbo, and the exhaust pipe just sort of pulled out of the flange. It wasn't immediately noticeable to look at. I was able to weld it back in place without any...

I added the word "up". Does that help?

I also just want to drive

So I'm searching for a car. I find one (2000 2.5rs sedan). Test drive it and all is good. Owner just left me the key on the tire as he wasn't around. I decide I want it and want to give him a deposit. Car is an hour away from my house. Guy doesn't call me back. I call him again the next...

How much camber is too much?

You really don't want a ton of negative camber in the back. Depends on the discipline though. If you do more track events, you will want a little more negative camber compared to autox. In general you want more negative up front. somewhat tire dependant, but I think the ideal for autox is about...

How much camber is too much?

I think the real key is the ratio of camber from front to back. Going with very little in the back helps the car rotate a bit easier, yet maintain straight line acceleration. I'm running sti struts with sti springs. Stock sways. Tried the setup with 3 different tires and was happy. The old...

How much camber is too much?

Kind of an old thread, but I thought I'd share a couple things I found with my 02 wrx wagon. I had installed sedan struts which add ~0.8
