Well that optic doesn't really go down. It's a lit FireDot reticle, but if the dots out... It's still a etched black crosshair scope. That being said, having some offset irons is nice.

Got my hands on the brand new Magpul pro offset sights for my Windham. Very happy with them. Really low profile when folded down.

He doesn't do it inski.... I asked. He doesn't want to invest in the equipment for what little he would do it. Plus he says every gun manufacturer is different equipment. So too much money. I think I'm going to do it myself on the shortened vent rib barrel I made. I have a pile of chokes...

Low brass could be the culprit.. but typically anything will work in these guns. Low brass will have a tendency to expand in the chamber, locking itself in there. But I've shot low brass out of my 870's. I have 3 different barrels, or bring me some of the low brass for me to try. I've got...

Matt... I still can't for the life of me understand the problems with your 870. It's a pump gun. Ammo picky, and pump shotgun don't go in the same sentence. If you're having issues still with shells getting suck in the chamber, I would think the chamber is a bit tight/dirty. Pull the barrel...

That's the same lower I speak of... the hydra has the ability to swap magwells out on the same lower. New magwells run $200... But it's much cheaper than building new lowers for every caliber. 9mm upper, swap the magwell and go... 7.62x39 upper, swap the magwell and go.... With the ability...

My quick thoughts.. It's it doable, yes, is it reliable, ehhh..... Basically the reason companies struggle to make a reliable 7.62x39 AR15 is because of the shape of the casing. Looking at x39 vs 223 you will notice the large amount of taper to the x39 round. This requires a magazine that is...

Feel free to just keep those 40 rounders... when you get your hands on a couple new ones send them my way. And the shotgun cards are from SKD tactical.. http://www.skdtac.com/Esstac-Shotgun-Card-p/ess.106.htm I think I might have got the ITW fast mag there too. Check SKD out for a dump pouch...

Basically... I hate to use the word "registered", because we don't register firearms in this state, but when a gun manufacturer produces a rifle that serial numbered lower is "registered" as a rifle. And will always be a rifle for its existence. No matter if it's torn down to parts and sold...

You're good! I should have clarified my prior comment. As long as it started life as a stripped lower. To explain quickly, when you fill out your NICS check form at a gun shop to purchase a firearm. The FFL calls in and specified that the firearm is one of 3 things: handgun, long gun (rifle...

If you want to be able to enjoy shooting it... stick with 223. Parts, barrels, magazines, and ammo are everywhere. 6.8spc is a very capable round, just expensive ammo unless you reload. And not readily available. Also requires ammo specific bolt, and magazines. 5 round 6.8spc magazines...
