Who Runs Amsoil or Rotella T6?

Biggest difference between oil for a diesel and gas engine is an oil designed for a diesel can withstand more heat, pressure and absorbs more acids.

2013 STI Pulling while under acceleration

After the second person posted in here I did a google search and found only this thread. I am thinking it may be isolated or it is a simple setup issue. Try changing the DCCD, VDC, and SI-Drive settings for a more rear biased setup then a front biased setup and see what changes you notice. Also...

    Gas Prices:

Try having to run 91 or 93, I'm always paying 40 cents more. Then again RWD shenanigans are worth it.

    Coolant leak, I think

Well, first thing I would do is get the car up to temp and see how high the coolant is in the overflow tank(not 100% sure on the different wrxs). Then check the line from the tank to the AOS.

    Spotted!

Thanks, I've got a few lighting items on the way. That explains the cone that's been there, surprised that incident didnt result in a fire call for me.

    Spotted!

Lol, thank you for fixing that. It was leaving chunks at times, which can be bad for motorcycles. I don't live very far from there.

    Coolant leak, I think

AOS's don't connect to the collant system. You do have lines going to your turbo, I'd look at those.

awwww, subaru is having audi DI growing pains. I blame it on Toyota, it's their D-4S system.

bugeye wrx clutch issues / not moving. need some tips

I have seen the friction material break free from the center in a 2.2l OBS. What you are describing is exactly the same situation as that one. If you can't see anything wrong through the hole around the clutch fork then I will say that the clutch disc gave out. Like...

    In before the close!

LMAO, that's pretty good. The BRZ goes in to Evergreen tomorrow for a new high pressure fuel pump, hopefully it gets rid of the cricket sound. I rolled over to 15k miles on the drive.

Who Runs Amsoil or Rotella T6?

Proper break in has become a very undefined term in the past 15-20 years. I drove my BRZ to the break in standards, others beat on them. No difference has been really noticed. The Jetta my mom had was driven hard from the moment it left the dealer, and ran perfect 3 years later when it was...

Who Runs Amsoil or Rotella T6?

I believe factory fills are high in moly, but honestly I would go with a decent oil for 1-2k miles then swap out for your oil of choice. I personally would not run amsoil or rotella just due to the cost. Could even go to the dealer and get Subaru bottled oil.

    Fall Group Drive 2014!!

I recommend TC Collision on the Old Bath Road in West Bath. He isn't subaru/import specialized but does really nice work. He shouldn't be that far from you.
