winter rims (salt and sand) question

Honestly I use steel wheels in the winter. You hit a pothole hard, it will bend rather than break, and therfore easier to fix. Aluminum wheels can crack if you don't have a whole lot of rubber to cushion it.

    Rebuild or Replace?

possibly, but you won't know until you disassemble. either way, it's possible to rehone and replace the problem piston and rings, but why do that when you could just as easily replace the shortblock. it would cost more, but you won't have to worry about clearances being to great with the rehone.

    Rebuild or Replace?

ray gosselin in the Bomarc industrial park, i can get his number when i get to work tonight for you. Anyone can do a leakdown test. If i had an air compressor and a leakdown tester, i would do it for you. I live in holden.

    Rebuild or Replace?

a simple leakdown test will tell you if it's bottom end(rings, ringlands) or if it's an intake or exhaust valve issue. Do that and then you know if you just need a bottom end, or a replacement cylinder head. it could even tell you if it is headgasket related if you get bubbles in the coolant...

    2004 WRX Wagon for sale.

typically speaking, addons(modifications) rarely add value to a vehicle, and actually depreciate it. you would be much better suited to put it back to stock, and sell the aftermarket parts individually. speaking from experience i mean the car is over 10 years old with 150k miles.... not...

    fitting 225/70R15 Grabber AT2's on a 2013 WRX

well the spring perch is stationary, it doesn't move, and at least with mine, i don't know how different the wrx struts are from the STi ones are, but i have at least another inch or two of clearance, but it will not clear the mud guard of the inner fenders when the wheel is turned.

    fitting 225/70R15 Grabber AT2's on a 2013 WRX

i don't know that they will or not, i kind of went on a whim with the 55's, almost did 225 55, but price was right and less chance of rubbing. can't get much sidewall when the smallest rim you can run is a 17

    fitting 225/70R15 Grabber AT2's on a 2013 WRX

i can tell you this. without a lift on my 2008 STi(same bady as your wrx, i fit 215/55-17 without any rubbing without any lift. with the 225/70-15, those are about an inch larger in diameter than my winters, and 2 inches in diameter larger than your stocks, although 10 mm skinier
