Interesting... I've heard of a couple LGTs that completely ate the turbo and need new engines lately too. Seems that the screens in the AVCS banjos are plugging up and starving the turbo of oil.

Here is my thinking... based solely off, well, nothing. Using any modern multi-viscosity oil it will actually be more fluid when cold ie 5w40 is 5 weight cold and 40 weight hot. Also, letting the car sit allows all the old oil to get into the pan where it will actually drain rather than stuck...

I'm curious about why it's better to change the oil hot?
