As fas as I know, there are really only 2 scenarios: a) You either buy a cobb AP (v2 or v3) and just flash cobb's maps and enjoy. Or you ask TorquePerformance (or any other etuners) for a map that you can then download to your AP and flash and enjoy. OR (if you do not buy a AP, save that cash)...

I would encourage you to read lots about stage1 vs stage2 etc and what power you can expect with what mods. I think it's also important to consider what you goals are for the car: handling, looks, torque etc... This is my first wrx as well and I have decided to go stg1 with TorquePerformance...

Congrats on ur wrx! Most peeps wait after the first 1k to start modding, so u should be good. No downpipe needed if ur flashing a stg1 map. Did u check the numerous threads on nasioc on this subject? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

Yeah the timing was perfect. Team told us it was mostly ice for the past few weeks, and even had to cancel some audi group events because not enough snow. Soo the dump we got a few days before was excellent... fresh powdery snow = soft banks for that weekend!! Several cars including the tahoe...

It was pretty sweet! Essentially we had a crash course on weight transfer and the interplay between acceleration and brakes on traction and then we tried it out in on different slalom configurations! It was both fun and I learned more than I expected. The wrx kissed a snow banks once and hugged...

I'd also suggest looking into led bar's... 

Saw a wrb Hawkeye, silver bbs, ski rack at oxbow brewing Co this am... seems like they got something going on cuz they even had a shuttle for folks! subaru still there when I cam back from Daramiscotta.

I'll just use the 91 map Eric sent me and leave it at that until i get back to Maine since we aren't planning on using the car in QC but walk there.  It's just more of hassle to switch maps etc... and I was trying to avoid it. Oh well!

Well tune was originally done in NH where 93 isn't rare... Then moved here not knowing that 93 wasnt the norm but kept the tune since live close to Webb's and dealt with it just fine. When I was on Cobb maps, used 91 when had to but found I got better gas mileage on 93... Sent from my Galaxy...
