I was really impressed with what Tyler did to his FXT though with all of that undercoating and sound deadening. I would do something like that if it were cheap, simple & effective. I think you only get to pick 2 of those though.  

The newer cars don't quite rust out like they used to anyway. It's also not kept in a heated garage or anything, so the salt and rust potential aren't as severe. And yeah, I don't see myself keeping this car past 5 years. I should probably at least look into a proper winter detail though in...

I didn't do anything other than General Altimax Arctic studded snows on my OEM wheels. Already have flaps. No special undercoat or paint sealant or anything. Been under my car dozens of times since last winter and it all still looks new, (except the stock exhaust I guess).  Drifts like a champ...

As someone else had previously spotted, I just saw a WRB WRX sedan with lp 'RNR'   Dual N1, fully badged all around. Followed each other into town from 295N. Zero acknowledgement though.

I didn't ask. I probably should have been a little more cautious. I got the header & uppipe for $300 though so if it holds together for even 2 years, I'll call it a win. 

Perrin admitted their old slip-joint design leaked and they have been welding them ever since. 

Just wanted to give a shout-out to / recommendation for Chris at Lou's Custom Exhaust in Portland. He welded the slip-joints for my Perrin header on Friday in about 15 minutes and didn't ask for a dime. I wish I had taken a picture, because the welds looked great. I got the header on last night...

Saw two lovely ladies in a DGM WRX sedan with NH plates at Higgins Beach today. Had a catback too.  Also saw possibly Widowmaker heading toward Walmart/Lowes/etc. Just saw a STI white hatch, gold wheels and exhaust.
