Bill, I am looking to buy allll sorts of goodies pretty soon here, so I'm considering your DW65c, PW TMIC, DP, CAI, BPV (if you have one), etc. Just give me some time to get all my ducks in a row, I'll buy most of what's left lol.
Trying to talk myself down from spending all $3321 of it on:
Grimmspeed Lightweight Crank Pulley
Carbon Fiber Drive-shaft
AEM CAI
Grimmspeed EBCS
Grimmspeed Heat-shield
PTP Lava Turbo Blanket
CNT Catted DP
CNT/Tsudo CBE
Process West TMIC
Forge BPV
Exhachanged late wave with a lowered, gold Forester this morning. Had seen it at the Red Robin meet, but I don't remember who you were.
Also saw Widowmaker going SB on 295.
This stuff isn't very drifting friendly... :/ It's too heavy & wet. My entire wheel wells got packed with snow and it started making some scary sounds when I turned the wheels. No good.
Some second hand spotting this afternoon; my brother handed me his cell phone to show me a pic of a plate: WRXFTW. I'm just like "Yup, that's Brian!"
Also, one of the guys I play hockey with, name is Bill, was asking about Meyagi, Matt Otis, etc.
I've seen this car as well, both on my morning commute and parked downtown in Portland. I could have sworn it belongs to Widowmaker on here, but 've never heard a peep out of him.
Just switched to Rotella T6 this morning. Definitely noticing a difference; stalled it twice driving home!
It's a little sluggish/heavy, but a little bit quieter and lot smoother. Before, everything felt like it was just clanking around and vibrating the hell out of my car. Now, under boost...
Someone in a WRB BRZ was trying pretty hard to stay behind me on my commute this morning... lol
I think I may have seen Ed tonight too, 09-10 WRB WRX Sedan. County Rd & Spring St. Heard a beep but not sure if was directed at me or not.
I picked up 2 gallons of Shell Rotella T6 last night at wally-world for $42, works out to about $26 per 5 qt. Not too shabby. Can't wait to change it out and dump the stock tune.
It used to allow 5W-40 for the same engine in years past, but it sounds like fuel economy regulations at the corporate level for Subaru put an end to that starting with the MY2012 turbos. Now it says 5W-30 synthetic only.
Just asked Patriot Subaru if they would put Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 in my WRX, pointing out that the manual says 5W-30, but that this is for environmental reasons that are not in the best interest of protecting the motor.
