upon further inspection the bolt was broken off. slide pins are fine I have the dual piston calipers , but I need smaller rotor and bracket than the wrx/forester ones I have. ive got the pads , but will my stock legacy rotors work ? if not im just gunna keep grinding these things till they fit.

the ones on my 98 have a threaded hole up top and a stud on the bottom. its on both sides and it doesn't look like the bolts were broken off. but maybe they were ?

cool , do yours have one bolt hole and one stud ? or are there 2 threaded holes.

wtb left and right side good shape caliper brackets for 97/98 legacy. id reuse mine but I had to cut the bolts of and cant remove them. cheap please.

ok ,that's kinda what I was thinking last night , I guess ill just use the stock brackets and rotors. too bad I ground the hell out of the driver side caliper for no reason. its cool at least ill have working brakes in a few hours.

unless some1 wants to trade for my alloys , then I have no other choice. been working at it all night , I almost have the driver side finaly ground down enough. I never thought it would be such a huge pain in the rear.

I was told they would fit, they don't , I googled it. a lot of people grind a little off to make them fit. although if I could find a set of 16's for a decent price id get them. and I really haven't grinded enough off to cause them to weaken them I don't think.I could always just let them grind...

also , Chris I did what you suggested to me last night , jack one side up off the ground and see if both wheels turn. they do , so that's a good thing right ?

you should be fine , I tow a 4x8 trailer with my focus , with loads ranging from washer/dryer , atv's , riding mower etc.... I even towed a load of wood and furniture weighin around 1200 pounds trailer included from yarmouth in a snow storm and had no issues. after a couple years of towing it...
