    2011 SWP WRX winter shots

yes that is a nice appearance. Adult looking.. the approach is that of several companies keeping a generation previous' stance but workng the body for a fatter appearing tire fitment (bmw m3 has been there a few years). These may be significant in a few years with the generational change to the...

    DIY REQUEST THREAD

I could cut a 3 main crank with my voo doo. its a tractor trailer sized world out there ya know...don't let the EJ midgetize you. and I really do have a mismatched setup about the rear diff, the axle is normal, I refer to way splines mount to diff stub. I did learn of an xt6 rear end that...

    DIY REQUEST THREAD

hey you got anyhting for a rear stuck axle.. 85-87? Next step in rage ...I am literally going to cut it off the car if it takes 4 wheels and half a day. I had to drill the pin out, got a look inside.. lo and behold the axle is too small for the shaft..yet it is installed anyway. this is on the...

    for sale/WTT 15" yokohama AVID TRZ 205-60-15

that one looks good in photo... I'd offer 100 +/- I go through the used tire routine, and don't get far... these are intended for a sube that never came with 15 inch, always a trial and error. ie: an 87 subaru with full lock out absolutely pulverizes nokian hakkas in ways unknown to...

    Australian Floods

incredible. if you save a google search with the word "flood" as an alert email.. some interesting videos can come your way. i found one with a car holding up a walking bridge standing on end in the river, and a dead horse on top of the walking bridge... as if to be a twisted artists metaphor...

    for sale/WTT 15" yokohama AVID TRZ 205-60-15

do the rims have to go with it? I can do the tires, in fact.. I am desparate right now, wrong wheels on or off.. also there is two versions of 205/60/15 a 91H or a 90T either is good, but one has a deeper weight rating I am looking for.

Tranny Carnage: Warning, graphic footage of busted stuff....

great vid, bad tranny. 2nd was munching on chunks of first...haha. would that not say clutch is way too hard. even an ea with 90hp has to slip it or else carnage.

    Better grounding?

I got a few powerful lessons in this, via welding, strange headgaskets, steel sleeved plug holes, no resistance in the copper wound insulated wires... and the grotesque world we drive through caking via ionization to the suby aluminum boxer... it is not even about horsepower. just today...

    more horrible things

sounds like a job for f. lee bailey. I learned he is a maine resident. on the other hand, in contrast to your case.. I got hit in broad daylight, in front of the bangor post office, halfway up a hill, in the sunshine at rush hour... and not a f***** clue was left to catch the fat sow I got a...

EJ205 heads after a complete overhaul

+1 look very clean. I was just tinkering with 131k ea82 heads... not lucky enough to get fancy, slapped it back together with switched around solid lifters, add some dynamics to 24 years in the same place... I like the sight of the 2liter, remnants of a solid head can be seen there.. is it...

13" Chrome rims with snow tires for older suby

I have 16 old suby wheels, and 8 of them are peugeot.. and ya know. I must have these. I will hold back for now... the outer radious around the bolt pattern.. it looks like the older early 80s and not 90s.. a caliper smacker for the loyales? I have never seen these fit the ea82 generation.

Attention northerners: Interest in bangor meet

post above is almost a year ago.. a few more subes all done to existence... can someone at least record something? the 2 liters, the 1781... and ya know those "other" newer subes that aren't worth a camera...may as well record those for being there. hahaha. I keep missing these trail rides...

    06 M3 Competition Package

the bimmer also inspired subarus in many ways.. I was looking up specs, out of curiosity... the wheelbase and track width, it is as if they fattened the wheels, and body, but the heart of the true measure goes back to the 80s... 59.4 inch track width. My 87 subaru is in the 60s... amazing...

    Spotted!

the sound of a flat tire with studs and a flat engine of the 2 liter variety held my hunches as I looked out andspotted the legacy sedan trucking up center street with an exhaust leak and yes, flat tire. speaking of aspen white, one caught my eye, a hatch... I guess I need to see those in...

New FB engine to go in N/A 2011 Forester

gas improvement is a tell tale sign of how far they go.. anyone can make a slob. the EJ has been the most embarassing sub 3 liter in the history of boxers... the fb gets my attention in that the stroke is increased, chamber is smaller, better nature for the natural air, and the turbo curve...

    This is awesome

the zz top guy. the beard beanie stuff is weird. did you know, some mens beards are shaped by wartime helmets of their own ancestors? I read that some historian could determine spartan roman, viking and whatever else... by a mans beard modern day. don't know if it is true. By nature, hair...

    What is this crap??..

ya know, I don't know what they are targetting exactly. It is the peoples mioney in their own cars getting spent. WTF are they thinking.. I pause to think of th eheadgasket episode recently.. the chemistry lingered for days right outside. Time went along and proved it to be strong enough to...

    how many flashes?

I learned it with a 1990s motherboard. the eeprom is meant to be a harder keeper, no errors...many reads, and not easily erasable. sensitive enough to crack if you force a stack not right... today is supposedly better, but if cars are playing with 16bit and injections gadgets that have been...

back from the garage, this is what they wrote...

in the case of this one, find a garage that welds. Even a muffler shop could have an inspector (they sometimes go on other welding ventures).. if you do any work, they ccan no bullshit you if not looking like subaru. My own is tripled and of course undoubted by someone who knows what they are...
