If the filter is full, your engine is dying anyway. The folks that design this stuff aren't 1st grade dropouts. 

The filter size has nothing to do with oil longevity.

oil change interval for 2006 is 7500mi.  I don't believe it changed much for 2011-2013

He is competing in the Rally America National Series this year.  That is the reason for the slight change in the week that NEFR is held.  They moved it since GRC and NEFR were the same weekend.

I still say you are off base with your assessment.  I remember your dad bringing you around the service park years ago.  Things aren't always what they seem, and the service park is a pretty hectic place.  Especially coming up to out times.  I know for a fact that he signs plenty at service once...

I have known the guy since 2005 I have never even seen him mad at anything.  He hasn't run at NEFR since 2010.  and in 2010 he didn't make it to first service before being out and stuck int he woods for the rest of the day.

what the hell are you guys doing to eat engines like this?  All I run is the evil Mobil1 5W30 at 7500mi changes.  I use less than a half quart in that interval.

quite aware.  I have family there and in NH.  So I try to keep an eye on changes in the laws. I tend to be more cautious.

bigger terbo, Ohlins struts, cage, err..  uprated oil pump, Tbelt, waterpump, cam seals, front and rear main seals.  anything that will leak seals.

Moved the Java stout to secondary tonight, and brewed a Night Cap Cherry Stout.  so I have 10gal of beer sitting in my livingroom
