I've read there are several that work amazing, but are quite annoying to the people around you. Picture came out poorly but you get the idea of it at least.

As far as piston goes, to each his own. I have more confidence in a platform that has common parts that I can find anywhere, myself. Plus, fewer moving parts is usually a good thing. But it wan't my money to spend, and he got the AR of his liking. It shot well, doesn't feel any different than my...

He got it at G3 in Turner. Out of the 4 places we hit they had as many to choose from as Maine military supply and saved over $100 on the same gun. I've always heard good things and they proved it today. Northeastern had some good stuff too just not what he wanted. Howells had very little...

Very nice. We took my cousin AR shopping yesterday, he decided on a Stag model 8, gas piston one. We put about 50 rounds through it, and the trigger stopped resetting. Push it forward or flip the safety it would reset. I'm betting it was the trigger disconnect, a burr or something. He brought...

Looks like the Lone Wolf barrels are ~$110 each. I will probably go that route, so I can take the aftermarket barrel out and let it soak and still be able to use the gun with the stock barrel. It's either that or trade the Glocks in for Springfields. Or maybe just buy both lol.

Hmm what about the aftermarket barrels for glocks that are made for lead? Or the low lead high nickel bullets?

Got an application for the local gun range yesterday, they have a small indoor range that I am hoping to use. But like most indoor ranges, no jacketed ammo. Anyone ever mess with shooting hardened lead ammo with a glock? Probably just use my .45 but would be nice to use the .40 too.

I tried ~10 shots through the .30-06 this weekend. I put on a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 and a Limbsaver replacement pad. Scope look great, clear and sharp. The limbsaver... what a difference over the hard rubber pad. No added length, bruising was very faint to non existant. Made it much more...

    Toyota frs is here!!!!

Sounds like a RWD 7th gen celica. I had one with the 6 speed, absolutely a blast to drive. Had the light go-cart feel and was fun to turn the guts out of it. The auto in that car was horrible, though. Hopefully they did better this time.

I'm going to try a limbsaver replacement pad, hopefully it won't change length too much.

I've got a Winchester Model 70 w/synthetic stock that I use for hunting. Its got a Simmons 3x9-40 on it that I don't care for. Any suggestions on a scope? Looking to make 300 yard shots I don't think the. 30-06 will drop much in that distance. Also, the thing sucks to shoot. Kicks like a...

No problem! Yeah I picked the rifle up yesterday afternoon, Paul got the stripped anti rotation setscrew taken care of, did a great job of it. He made sure the gassystem looked good, and test fired it a bit and couldn't find anyting wrong with it. So hopefully it's my mags, I took 3 that I...

Could be the buffer, I cycled all of my mags a bunch of times and will be numbering them to try to pinpoint. Its in Paul's hands right now, he's fixing the set screw. He's going to give it a good look over and some test firing before I pick it up on tuesday.

From what Ive been reading, its either the mags are slow, not consistantly getting the round up into position. Or the bolt is fast, not giving it enough time to get the next round into place. Do mags need to be "broken in"? I was at Northeastern Firearms yesterday trying to make a concealed...

I have a handful of pmags and 1 old mag, and I think it has only done it with the pmags. Granted I have a 5 of them and 1 metal mag, so the odds are much greater anyways. And I was running it fairly wet, because of the new BCG.

Shot ~200 rounds today with the AR15. Performs well, but I had 2 failure to loads that I don't know if they should concern me. It happens mid-mag (pmags) and basically a round fires, ejects, and the next round doesn't quite chamber correctly. With PMC I would need to pull the charging handle...
