    Snow Gymkhana?

Most of what's done at high speeds can be done at low speeds, you just have to be more violent.

    oil

Knock? You mean tick? If you are truly talking about knock I highly doubt it has anything to do with the oil you're using. Also if you are talking about audible knock that is most likely much more than a little and you should have it checked out. I ran 5W-30 during the winters with no issues.

Have you considered not taping dimes to your bumper?

AWD and open diffs kinda defeat the perpose, no...?

Because it's infinitely better than having an open center diff. Without the lsd in the middle the AWD system would be like fwd when in drive and rwd when in reverse. If you ever drive a suby with an open center you'll understand how much it does.

The Eric Benson Memorial Dirt Drive - November 28th

Like most want to and can are two different things. Two weekends from now is a different story though.

The Eric Benson Memorial Dirt Drive - November 28th

Yep that's the one! Thanks! Great points on the issues with driver improvement type of event. I think ReZPunk's comment about "the place in NH" is spot on, and I believe they usually do a discounted winter safe driving school for members. For those that are cash strapped rally-x and rally-x...

The Eric Benson Memorial Dirt Drive - November 28th

I was the idiot who showed up to the subaru drive without a suby Anyways a bit more video (yes there are a few repeats). I'd say about 60-70% of the drive was like this or better. The video covers some of the rougher stretches, but I didn't bother to include any water hazards or bridges...

The Eric Benson Memorial Dirt Drive - November 28th

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxhG_nza9o8 Here is a few slipping and sliding moments from my car. I'll try to crunch a more substantial vid tonight. Unfortunately my camera flaked out before the 4th stage, which was my fav section. Hopefully someone managed to capture some of that section.

The Eric Benson Memorial Dirt Drive - November 28th

My driver/co-driver and I had a great time. We both failed slightly in the co-driving dept, but figured that's better than failing in the other dept. Many thanks to all those that put in the time and effort to make this event possible. Awesome roads, great people, fantastic roads, and the...

    Loring Autocross Aug 21/22

This event was definitely plagued by over promising and under delivering. Lessons were learned after day one and day two went much better. I think you would be hard pressed to find more than a couple people who were unhappy with the course, seat time, or atmosphere of day two. Those that paid...

Spark Plugs?? Iridium? Platinum? Hot or Cold Plugs? Helpppp

+1 The stockers should be good for 60k or so. The main adv to the iridiums is the long change interval, which is a big selling point on for subies.

    O2 v. A/F ?

^What he said. The front is also semi-wideband, which adds to its cost, and the rear is narrowband. There really isn't a cheap generic option for the front.

    July 11, 2010 CMC A/X Lewiston Colisee

Changing boost = SP. Not sure if the PSRS is allowed in SP, replacing suspension bushings is allowed, but I don't think you are allowed to increase the amount of metal used. Doubt anyone would have a problem since they *may* gain you 0.001s vs an offset urethane bushing which is legal. Do...

    bosch O2 sensor...

The rear is a pretty standard sensor, hence being able to pick up a generic bosch and splice it to your existing harness. Should work with pretty much any OBDII car.
