If gas mileage is a concern, turbo and H6 is not a choice. If space isn't a concern, we have three 2006 Impreza sedan's w/28-43k for $14-15K. Stanley is a good store, a sister store of Evergreen.
There are 9 new 2009 Legacy's in NE. A used 2008 Legacy is going for more than $19k. A new Legacy is in league with a 3-series BMW, not a Prius. I love media that know nothing about what they are writing about.
POR-15 is good for floors, undercarriage, inner fenders. If you brush it on it can take awhile to dry. Thin it and you can spray it. An etching primer is a must after rust repair. I have doing this for years. Do it right the first time.
If it hadn't been black and 5 speed, I wouldn't have bought it. She was going to get a Legacy until the 330xi arrived. I can work on them, so I can take a chance.
I own both BMW's and Subaru's. The new Legacy is $15k less than a similarly equipped BMW. Not to mention the cost of ownership over the lifetime of the vehicle. It all depends on what you are looking for. After issues with my wife's 95 325i, I swore I would never own another. We took an 02 330xi...
Evergreen has a SWP WRX Premium. We have had it for a month. The price is $27k delivered. The car has fogs, all weather mats, and tint. Always check the Evergreen boys when shopping.
I agree. I can't wait to drive one myself. I spent the weekend in the 2010 2.5i Limited. I was impressed by both the handling and comfort. Combined with the GT performance, this should be a home run.
265 is the number. The major difference is the torque curve. Peak torque comes early in the RPM range and is maintained until 5800 rpms. I have talked to Richard Rizzo, an SNE trainer, and he says his demo is trouble above an idle.
If you have any questions, PM me. I am EG's resident gearhead, just ask Carter, Doug Miller, Nate, etc... Let me know what you are looking to accomplish and I will do my best to get it done.
I deal with this on a daily basis. People want the car for KBB trade but want KBB retail for their trade. Remember KBB is a reference point, not a bible. KBB doesn't write checks or touch the vehicle. If you watch Barrett-Jackson, my 67 GTO clone is worth as much a real one did a few years ago...
I apologize if I came off harsh, but being in the business my entire life I have heard it all. As far as STI's, their scarcity in the retail market will make them a collectible at some point.
