Remember that smaller winter tires will lower it too. Those winterforce tires are the same diameter as your 17s with tires. Don't forget that your exhaust hangs low and other stuff can get crunched too. "Drive it easy" yeah right! Drive it like it was made to be driven.

I have some Nokian Hakkas on 15 in steelies that are available. I'd let them go for 350. Need to go over to the my parents garage where they are because I can't remember the size. They were amazing on my car the few times that I used them.

+1 for the dump, or you could just practice on some thin wall raw stock tubing. Then you don't have to strip the paint, you can just miter the joints and braze away. I'm assuming that you are fillet brazing. What kind of bike are you going to build (eventually) once you get your practicing done?
