Also, exhaust is a borla hush, so it's relatively quiet if that makes any difference, and except for the fmic, wheels and hood scoop delete it looks stock, no wings or bodykit to get attention...

By he way, I really appreciate you guys taking the time to post on this, knowing essentially nothing about your reg/inspection process, it's been a huge help!!

Haha, fmic, rotated mount turbo, custom intake and maf housing, full aftermarket fuel system, full suspension, sti brembos, built ej207, full sti driveline, full exhaust, catdelete.... Etc... Car has an aftermarket wheel and race seat right now, I'm going back to the stock wheel for...

Hey guys, after thinking about it some more, you guys make a good case that there is really no harm in getting the vehicle inspected since it only costs 12 dollars... Do you guys know of any shops in the greater Portland area that tend to be more mod friendly, if you know what I mean... Also...

Yeah, i'm all set with the permanent residence in mi for now, so I think I'm all set... If I decide to hang onto this car after I pick up a new dd I may go ahead and change it over. Thanks for the input guys. As for the car, I suspect it probably does have more mods... But it probably...

I suppose those are all good things to consider. I'm a medical resident here, so technically I'm a doctor in post graduate training on a 3 year contract. Seems to me that I might fall into the "student" category then, although I do have a stipend it seems pretty similE to the pay structure...

Hey guys, As some of you know, my wife and I just recently moved here from MI. In MI we don't have an annual vehicle excise tax, or annual inspections of our vehicles. I was planning to register the car here for convenience, but given the fact that my car is quite heavily modified and the...

That'd be great! I love getting seat time in different cars, I'm a big believer in the idea that being an adaptive driver makes you a faster driver . What model is your Audi?

Dunlop Z1 Star Spec Street/Autcross tires-- Exhaust fabrication materials-Rally guys?

Sounds good to me, i love those merkurs almost as much as subarus, so I'm glad the parts are destined for a good home!

Dunlop Z1 Star Spec Street/Autcross tires-- Exhaust fabrication materials-Rally guys?

H-brace should fit all GD chassis if I'm not mistaken. It was specifically purchased for an '02 sedan, but it should fit all GD model years and body styles. As far as the cat and piping the cat is a universal piece for fabrication, it's not application specific. It doesn't have any provisions...

Thanks! One of the cars I spent a lot of time tinkering with before I moved here was an STI swapped 92x linear. Owner was a bit quirky, but a nice guy and a fun car

I'd love to spend more time on dirt with my car, the only thing preventing me from being more involved with stage rally (which I like a lot more than tarmac) are budgetary and time constraints right now (mainly the costs of running events, more than the car itself). 5 year plan definitely...

Carl Seidel had the Production/Group 2 VW GTI. He hasn't run that for quite a few years though. He stopped running the GTI a few years back and was actually Jeff's head mechanic while Jeff was still around. I don't think Carl ever made it out to New England with the GTI though, he mostly ran...

Dunlop Z1 Star Spec Street/Autcross tires-- Exhaust fabrication materials-Rally guys?

Hey everyone, I've got a set of Dunlop Z1 Star specs (225/50/R16). They only have a couple thousand miles on them (I'd estimate close to 90% tread left). I bought the tires when I was autocrossing and tracking the car more frequently, but shortly after buying them I blew the transmission on...

    Possible Help on EWG

Hey guys, I'm currently running a Tial 38mm on my rotated setup. I've controlled it with both an upgraded EBCS (GM 3 port, performs similarily to the Grimmspeed) and with an MBC, both on the stock ECU. The nice thing with the MBC is that you just set it and forget it, you don't have to tune...
