    Lightweight Drive Shaft

I haven't tried a really hard stop yet but the stock tires provide enough traction I think. I can drive it all right but I was looking at cheap effective3 upgrades that are easy and in my previous experiences aluminum drive shaft was a good idea. I guess I should just give up then?

    Lightweight Drive Shaft

I come from the late model Mustang world, having owned a 2003 Mustang Mach 1. I did a lot of bolt ons and kept up with the culture pretty decently. The Ford Racing aluminum drive shaft for 279 dollars was regarded as one of the best bang for the buck mods. Going from a ~30lb drive shaft to an...

I like mine because I don't feel bad about abusing it. It is cheap, made in the Philippines, will probably have a flaw somewhere somehow, and are parkerized not blued. I used my as an adventure into 1911 gun smithing by playing with it and installing/fitting after market stuff. It is a lot of...

Well it is a budget 1911. Mine shoots steel cased russian 230gr ball like a champ and I am pleased with that. But you get what you pay for. The best deal right now is Ruger's SR1911 for 6-700 NIB. High quality 1911 for mid range price.

Man there are a lot of really nice guns owned by you guys. It makes me feel ashamed when I look at my collection. From the back: Saiga 12, Remington 597, cheapo Maverick 88, .410 AR, 9mm AR, Winchester 30-30, .223 AR, Glock 22, Ruger SR9, RIA 1911, Taurus 738 TCP. I buy stuff for terrible...

I owned one of the new style ones and it was fun and I enjoyed shooting it but it doesn't do anything the AR can't do while doing nothing that the AR can.

haha I would only own one as a joke or gimmick. I had a judge for a while that I reloaded confetti into the shells for giggles but really didn't use it for anything else. I really want a Ruger SR1911. I could never stomach the price tag on nice 1911s but the ruger appears to have a high quality...

I don't disagree that a larger caliber is better, I just set the bar at .380 or better. Capacity also is a huge factor which is why I usually go with 9mm over .45. Shot placement trumps caliber though, regardless. If you don't hit the vitals, you are just wasting ammo.

Oh jeez in that case awesome. I would totally carry a gold nitride finish with black tiger stripes on the desert eagle (like this: http://www.galleryofguns.com/ProdImageSm/DE50TG-TS.jpg)

As far as defensive calibers are concerned, they need to penetrate reliably, cycle reliably, and fire reliably. Shot placement trumps everything else. A .380 will do all three requirements, the rounds just have to go to the right spot. I own a .380 and if it wasn't pink and my wifes, I would...

Be extra cautious about squibs. With little noise and recoil it can be very hard to tell if you get one. Couple this with semi auto fire and uh oh! As far as defense goes, the smallest acceptable defensive round is .380. Anything less than that just will not cut it for one reason or another.

I have no idea if there is any benefit other than more weight at the muzzle end. You are lucky if you have cool kid toys at your disposal. I just redneck the hell out of stuff and hope for the best. I build my stuff because a hundred bucks here and there is a lot easier to sell to my wife than...

I decided to go for .50 beowulf because of the AR-Stoner bolt barrel sale on midwayusa. The ejection port needs to be opened up either by hand with a dremel or with a mill and the standard dust cover wont latch. Someone does make oversized dust covers though. I am planning just using one of...

Nah, just the dispatch side of things for police/fire/ems. If you look around, some companies will sell the PRO to non LEO/Military. Palmettostatearmory.com will sell to anyone I believe, but they are currently out of stock it seems. Palmetto also had a prebuilt upper for 6.8spc with everything...

Well 6.8 has the marketing but it was designed for short barrels. Not to say it wouldn't work for deer hunting, it does, but it's optimal use is for higher energy levels out of a shorter barrel. 6.5 is the less marketed but better round. It is supersonic longer than .308 I believe. To be honest...

I like to build ARs as a hobby because simply hoarding them wasn't enough. I had my fill of 5.56 ARs in the Army for 6 years so I don't get too horny over them. I do enjoy odd chamberings and that is why out of my 3.5 uppers I have 4 different calibers. top to bottom: Stripped SAA lower, SAA...
