Thanks Nate, I will definitely take that into consideration if I can't figure it out anytime soon. After replacing my engine funds are tight, so I haven't decided if I'm gonna drop 180 on a tactrix cable. If anyone closer has a cable I could try that would be great. -Thanks again

Well, I tried a different laptop along with different versions of ecuflash and different drivers. Still nothing, at this point I am leaning towards the problem lying with the ebay vag-com cable, guess I will have to go with a tactrix cable.

What Year STI is the flywheel out of?, will that fit an 05 Legacy GT and is it lighter then my stock one?.

I think I found a VF46 on legacygt.com which is the specb turbo. Its brand new, the guy had bought as a spare and is upgrading his turbo so hes selling it. From what I have read the VF46 should be a direct bolt on for an 05 Legacy. You're right nate they switched turbos after 06 to the VF46...
