hmm. I think I'm gonna start with pulling the vakve cover and see if I can identify anything loose or broken. The noise sounded like it was comming fron the left head, rear cylinder (I think that's #4). The kicker is that it's running fine now, not making any noise.... I was thinking it might be...

Ok, this is what happened... Driving the car (01 RS, 195k) back from NH, exit the highway, driving on a local road at 35mph normaly (not hammering on it) the car seemed to almost stall, then proceded to make this noise. Sounded to me like a bent valve or some metallic noise. Drove the car home...

The Borla uses the stock exit location, but I think with all the tubing, they are probably longer. I don't really know as I've never had a stock one for the car...

I have some Enkei Wheels, 17x7.5, 5x100 with 5x114 bolt pattern also. Not sure on the offset, but they sit out a bit farther than stock or the Prodrives. They need to be cleaned up a little. I was saving them for auto-x wheels, but the right price might motivate me to move them along. Let me...
