The new Suzuki AWD sedan (looks like impreza competition)

I just saw a commercial for it. It doesn't look like anything special, but neither does the base model impreza really. i dont know a ton about suzuki cars, but i know their bikes are nice. $20-25K. wikipedia has this to say: The Kizashi comes standard with front-wheel drive. All...

Portland area inspection station suggestions (lowered car)

the oil pan could be a ***** if the rearmost bolts are blocked by the crossbeam, which they probably are. the law there is that leaks are only a problem if they're a fire hazard. i've actually had a rear main seal that dripped right on my headers for a year and it was never a problem so i dont...

    EJ25 short block in Portland

the guy above asking about the valve reliefs was trying to figure out if it was from a sohc or the 96-98 dohc engines. yours is the valve relief, not the square dish pistons so its the later (99+) sohc block. still used today.

Boston Dynamics - "Big Dog" Concept.

the programming and mechanics involved in that are amazing, especially the second clip. the jumping over the black bar was crazy! its not that fast right now but soon i'm sure it'll get a ton faster. the hard part is done.

    WTB: EJ25

my stepmoms 99 forester smoked a ton because it had a stuck valve, so i replaced the head and gasket on one side. started it up and it still smoked. bastard. my dad picked up up a whole new motor and i dropped it in. that one smoked. then i realized that it was just sitting oil that was in the...

i'm hopin to get better ones come summer time. needless to say, 35deg weather doesn't lend itself well to most photo shoots.

    Look what i found

if i had to guess i would say that he just used literally the header, but not the header and up pipe, then made a short pipe that goes from where the up pipe would connect to where his stock rear cat is. i think all you need other than the header is the oil pan and maybe the crossmember?

H6 rear upgrade or front brake package for bugeye wagon?

i would suggest a good set of SS lines and new better fluid as well, but beyond that i would say pads for the front. i've used hawk HPS (or HP?) front pads and stock ones, and done the rear H6 upgrade. i would say work on the fronts first.

Cheerleader + night + creative lighting = this thread

its actually a knife i had from a shoot a few years back. and yes, about half the models have found me and ask if they can shoot, the other half i approach and show them my work, and tell them i'd like to shoot if they do as well. works about 80% of the time. it seems like for every model that...

thanks for all the comments guys. yeah, she could probably squeeze me to death with those legs, or run me down. and i probably should have been a little more specific when i said 'winter boots', but oh well. shes hot. i forgive. the next shoot will be warmer and should heed less clenched-jaw...

no photoshop tricks, just good lighting. This is a 23 y/o (ie, not high school) cheerleader that has been wanting to shoot for a while. How could i say no? I figured i would try out some lighting tricks i've been meaning to attempt. She'd be good at jumping and such right? too bad it was 35 deg...

    I take pictures of cars

this reminds me of the one i did with my bike a few months back. one thing to know is that if you have total darkness, you can continue to manually add flashes by walking around with the same speed light during a long exposure. it gives a nice soft light, and a neat effect if you put the flashes...

    Question about staggered wheels...

and by overstretched he means, dont take any high speed corners or else you risk blowing it off the rim bead and spinning out of control.
