So I was looking at motorcycle stuff and found something neat...

STS claims that the lag isn't all that bad in their setups. The one being shown is not an STS rear mounted turbo setup. That one does not have an intercooler and has a turbo that only needs water to cool it, STS uses a turbo that requires oil.

    Feeler : Augusta meet ?

We did roosters a couple years ago. Normally plenty of parking, prices are reasonable.

    noise from n/s wheel

Front or rear? If it's the rear it could be the ebrake setup. You could also have a caliper that is frozen. I'm guessing it was pads and rotors. If you were sold ceramic pads tell the shop to put non-ceramic pads on. 90% of drivers have no use for ceramic. They require a good amount of heat to...

How did the intake passages, pistons and valves look at that point? I know 900 miles is a short time but if things are getting dirty quick it will tell me how to proceed in the future.

I just ran Lucas or a product call K100 every couple of months. Kept me at 30+ all the time. If your fuel filter hasn't been done in the past 5 years I'd do that also. They are damn easy, and pretty cheap.

I buy either shell 91(93 when out of state) or sonoco 93. All that is needed in your car is 87. Shell was the best in my 1.8L

For some reason the pump for the DI system supplied by Toyota sounds like crickets chirping. Some people have it come and go with fuel from different stations and with non-ethanol fuel. There are no trends showing what to use. Some people even add 2oz of low ash 2-stroke oil to each tank of...

I love when idiots complain about the BRZ/FRS high pressure fuel pump noise and the incorrect information people spurt out about it.

That's what KBB values them at. Can't fault someone for going with that.

    Spotted!

I saw Bratman in his big orange truck not far from my house. I'm guessing he's one of the reasons the power was back on when I got home.

You should really wash it off, police have seen it, you have pictures. I remember reading not to leave it on aluminum for an extended amount of time.

Impreza OBS 2011 sound system: not so great

Upgrade everything. A quality head unit will send cleaner sound but the stock speakers will limit it. Check out crutchfield.com. They will list the correct audio components for your specific car. Don't expect great things from $300 worth of audio equipment. My 95 impreza had a $100 kenwood and...

    EJ22 timing right?

The phase 1/phase 2 switch happened around 97. With the 2.2, if it has dual port's I would put money on it being non, 96 should be non. Biggest thing to watch for is what valve cover style the engine has. That one has the early style. Don't forget the radiator cap. Glad it was an easy fix, I've...
