If there is an issue with the crank sensor you probably won't get a code at all. It does need to be seated fully.

make sure they're installed properly.  ones that are rotated so the tab/flange is not properly seated will do exactly as you describe.

How much are they asking for that one, and what year is it? I'm stage rally build shell shopping. Also, there are tons of WRX in that year range for sale right now in the new england area for reasonable coin.

Tribecas are good for short people with short kids. Really wanted to buy one but they have no headroom, an akward driving/seating position, and the rear two rows are laughable for adults. I hope the redesign coming out fixes those issues. I'd buy one if they did.
