Yeah I didn't want to use that style.
Even with this huge compressor these springs have some serious tension.
There is no second guessing with this tool, it won't let go.
An automotive coil spring blowing up in your face is the last thing you would want.
Pull the struts out.
Put the 4 jaws on the coil, engage safety pins, compress spring by tightening the huge bolt.
Take strut apart, release tension on spring.
Grab new spring, repeat in reverse.
New tools are always a good thing.
So are 4 new heavy duty springs.
As the Subie sits now with stock wheels.
Will swap to the steelie/snows sometime soon if the weather cooperates.
