how many miles are on your car?

Now Kathy, that is not true. :nono: It's a 95, and it started life as a race car - national champion too if I remember correctly. We all know that racing is so much easier on a car than rallying. :whip2: My 1995 L is at 107,000, the 2003 TS is at 95,000. The 2001 F250 is at 63,000. Tim

    OEM '03 WRX Rims on a GC8?

Not overly paranoid, but don't like the look of lug nuts that are only half on the stud (or the feel of a lug continuing to tighten into the wheel at 72 ft/lbs). They have not loosened on me yet, but I'm keeping a close eye on them non-the-less. Your mileage may vary - if you have the wheels...

    OEM '03 WRX Rims on a GC8?

Careful of the lug nuts and studs. I just put WRX 16" alloys on my 95 L and wasn't 100% happy. The stock L lugs are too small and do not seat properly on the WRX rims. You could feel them "sink" into the rims if you tried to torque them slowly. Compared them to the correct lugs for the rims and...

    El Fuego

Did you repaint the hood? I don't see some of the stone chips/paint cracks that used to be there. Looks awesome though. Very glad that the old girl found a loving home. Tim

    Evil rally crash...

I would be very concerned about the hit on the rock by the co-driver's head. That is not good. Tim

What are stock 16" WRX rims going for these days?

The 14' steelies are mounted with a set of new Dean Wintercats for my 95 L Sedan. These will be my winter and rallycross tires for that car. I think I'll hang on to those. Tim

What are stock 16" WRX rims going for these days?

Snagged... My dumb logic was this - I need to replace one of the 17" Ecsta tires on the Prodrive rims that I have on the wagon right now (it didn't like doing recce at NEFR :sad5:). 2 Ecsta SPTs (replace one pair at a bare minimum, really should replace all four due to the AWD) > $200, so...

What are stock 16" WRX rims going for these days?

Kid up the road has a set of stock WRX rims (16" 5X100 pattern) for sale for $200. Has stock RE92 tires on them, maybe 40% worn. No curbage, scratches, or dents, seems to be a good set of rims. Not that I need another set of rims, but is $200 worth snagging them anyway? Opinions needed before...

    STPR Video

The jump was worse. This one, I could feel the car get light and slide out, hit, and I look over and see Emilio getting his bearings. I glanced at the tach and saw it was idling, so my comment was "it's still running, go!" :whip2: Tim

so whos going to MFR this year?

If I see you out on stage, I will not be a happy camper! :BangHead: May we only see you in services and at the end of the rally! Tim (codriver ODB Racing).

    So THAT'S how reverse works!

Yep, during the post war period, German companies were prohibited from making airplanes, so Messerschmitt switched to making cars for quite a while. No connection with BMW - Messerschmitt started building Aircraft again in the late 60's and later became part of the Daimler-Benz Aerospace...

    So THAT'S how reverse works!

He probably owned a Messerschmitt KR200 as his first car - that IS how reverse works! Tim

    Man do I hate...

Its a 2001 w/ 60000 miles on it. One of those really dumb designs that just caught junk thrown off the front tires and trapped it causing the rot. And Kathy - you ain't kidding. It seems like everything is falling apart all at once on me. :sad5:

    Man do I hate...

RUST!!! :angry4: The tube style running boards on my F250 have been looking kind of skanky, so I decided to pull them off and maybe sand them down and repaint them black. Well, pulled them off and found that the front mounting plates had been catching dirt and salt and caused the body work...

    the ROOF

Mid 90's? I would have sworn that I heard that song (Rockmaster Scott & the Dynamic Three if I'm not mistaken) regularly at Minerva's Rest in Burlington, VT in the mid 80's :icon_scratch: And they'd probably still be playing Buffalo Soldier as the final song of the night if they hadn't sold...

    Noob question of the day

It allows you to remove the entire brake booster unit on a rally car. Why? Vacuum assisted brakes can be very inconsistent when left foot braking. It's not uncommon for rally team to disconnect the vacuum lines to the booster to make the brake pedal more consistent. This little gem allows you...
