OK,I blew my ankle out trying to get healthy.Running in the woods,stepped on a rock or something hiding under the leaves.Emergency room for 5 hours,now my ankle is black. Now Im out of work for the forseeable future,without pay,then next month,If Im back to work by then,I go for surgery on my thumb,which was a work injury.Trouble is workmans comp doesn't pay for the 1st 14 days.
Anyway,Im going to try to sell the car.
It needs (couple things for a sticker,others are just annoying) 1.some fairly minor rust work in the DS quarter/wheelwell,its not bad,I could fix it with filler,but the right way is to weld in a piece,which last I knew,Meyagi had. little very minor rust showing near the gas door,and a bit that I sanded/painted on the front PS fender,where it meets the bumper 2. 4 tires,they are worn even,just worn out. 3. E brake is a bit weak,should pass,I think it just needs adjustment. 4 Needs stock exhaust installed for inspection,which will be included at the asking price. 5. front PS wheel bearing is just starting to make noise. 6 Throw out bearing has made a noise since I got it,which was over 2 years ago. Hasnt got any better or worse,sounds like a supercharger whine. 7. High miles on chassis (250,000+/-,motor/tranny have approx 150,000-PO had a pre-turbo cat failure/disintegration,took the motor out) 8. every now and then I get a CEL for the evaporative emissions system (gas cap). I have just deleted it,and it takes a month or so to come on again. So weak gas cap seal maybe??
Now for the good. Car has a 3" TBE,sounds great. K&N filter,GFB adjustable BOV,BRAND NEW windshield,this and the rear window reseal just cost over $400. Rear window sealed up extra tight(professional job)esp. for sound system. Stage 2 XPT safe tune,runs approx 15.4 psi,according to my romraider boost gauge.( I have a CD with 2 other tunes on it) Also,this is the premium sedan,so it has heated seats,heated wiper lands (if you have never had these,you won't believe how good it works on frosty mornings),heated mirrors. Car is pretty quick,for what it is. Also has factory STI bumper vents and hood scoop. I have the title in hand. Id really prefer all cash,unless someone ran a little short of $$$,and had a decent partial trade,that I could either easily sell,or use myself.Assault rifles come to mind. Any questions,feel free,Im not tring to hide anything on this car.Just in a bit of a bind right now.
I know the list of problems seems big,but it is also ALL of the problems I know of. You normally dont get that list when buying one of these. You get the "when you notice a problem,the seller remembers said problem" list. Pretty much,$5000 will pay the loan off that I have on the car,plus give me a bit of cash to buy some heating oil and keep up with a couple of bills for the next couple weeks. Only way I can do less,would be to remove some parts,and it wouldnt take a lot of $$$ off anyway. Ill get some pics later,when I get back from the doctors office.
