2.5 DOHC Engine (For My 99 Outback)

I'm looking to purchase a nice running 2.5 DOHC Engine for my 1999 Legacy Outback. Prefer something that is still in car so that I can hear it run but I'm open to what ever I can get. Low Mileage, Running Motors to the front of the line! I'll be searching for an engine in the yards over the next couple weeks. But it might be nice to find one on here and take out some of the guess work.

Since it's going to be hard (or really expensive) to find a DOHC that's in good shape, you can also just directly swap in an obd2 ej22. Or an older one with obd2 intake manifold on it.

i have one, from a 1998, i have records dating back from the original owner, and the last owner had it for 80k miles and kept meticulous care of it. headgaskets, timing belt, does not leak a drop. its ready to install as it is. its still in the car if you want to hear it run. It runs solid, i was saving it for when my motor dies, but it does not show any signs of it right now.
