ABS code?

HR radness

His royal radness
Anyone know how to pull an ABS code? I have been told it is a separate code that comes from the ABS computer. I have an ABS light that stays on

Nigel's 100% guaranteed way to stop annoying CELS : put black tape over the damn things.

check to see abs fuse isn't blown, it's #8 on impreza fuse block under dash

perhaps a wire to one of the abs wheel sensors is damaged

why are you looking at the abs lite, you should be looking waay down the road, dood.

OK, I figured out how to pull the code, and I came up with #21, I believe it's

"FR wheel sensor open circuit or input voltage too high" Anyone know what that means? I'm thinking I need to replace a wheel speed sensor

Did you check to see if the sensor wire is all mangkled?

Sorry, I dropped the ball....again. Someday I'll remember to get you that info.

You can also test the sensor with a DVOM. Just attach the black wire of the DVOM to one side of the sensor connector, red one to the other, and SPIN the wheel. You should have voltage 0-5 volts I think, maybe its 0-10 volts, cant remember, compare to the other sensors.

I'm selling this car, so I don't think the new owner woould buy that:)

It's for a '98 legacy waggie
Why not? I did! :BangHead: :laughing1:
Ouch, Pete, OUCH

Problem solved, traced the sensor wire into the engine compartment and found it was.....unplugged
