Adding in Cruise Control... ?

Is it possible to add on CC to a 1996 OBS, or any other Subaru, for that matter? What would a project like the entail? A new ECU?

Any help would be nice. Just curious at this point. O0

Not too difficult to build your own if you're electically inclined actually. I cant tell you how myself but an EE i work with has done it.

I don't know if this is all you need, but I know that you'll need the extra lever for the steering wheel, the computer for the cruise control, and there is an extra cable that goes to the throttle lever on the engine. Other than that, I have no idea.

Subaru used to have a kit for $69.95, but it's been discontinued. I did a locate and no Eastern dealers have one. The part # for yours is H7010FA232. Engine size, MT and AT, model year, all make a difference and that one only fits 96 2.2 MT. Maybe you can Ebay one?

So is it just the kit that's model specific? Will the RS one that Rad has work?

I don't know why, but every year, engine and tranny has a different kit listed.
