Another Fog Light Q?

Does anyone know what wires I need to snip? I want my fogs to be independent of my lights. I want to be able to turn the fogs on when my high beams are on and I want to be able to turn the fogs on without the low beams. At the same time I want them to turn off when I switch the key.

YUP! It works. I did it on my RS. As I remember, the first mod gets amended. There is a couple of things wrong in the first one. Read them through. Its actually pretty simple once you get the proper info.

i think mike bike did it on his lesaru, all it envolves is cliping a wire behind the switch.

As I remember, on my RS, I provided a switched 12v+, a constant ground, and something to a relay. My fogs work completely on their own when car is running. I use them as DRL.

This gets fogs working independently of the headlight switch. To sum up, fog lights can be on when the fog light switch is on and the ignition switch is "ON".

Scoobymods... it's da schiznit.

I was just burning up bulbs so I disabled DRLs and did the foggy mod. Now, when it's rainy, I just use the fogs. it looks pimp and that's all that matters. Although, i've noticed that my "door ajar" light on the dash doesn't work anymore. Hmmm... coincidence?
