I'm no longer deploying to Iraq. I'm in the 133rd Engineer Battalion, and our deployment got canceled this week.

I just wanted to share the news and let anyone, who cares, know. And according to Major General Libby, they don't have any plans for us deploying for at least 3 to 5 years!

That is all,

Thank you.

Congrats!! I'm assuming your happy about that. I would hate leaving my family for that long!!

I'm thrilled, but I know that there are a lot of guys in my unit that are trying to go with another unit. The Mountian company just left fot Afganistan, and another unit is leaving in a couple months. A lot of guys didn't have jobsand were planning on this deployment getting them through the next year.

Thank you all, I'm very pleased myself. Now I just need to rethink my plans for the next couple of years.... This has put the kibosh to some of my plans I had...

Personally, I am also glad to hear you're not shipping out. I realize that may mean no "job" for some folks. But also no life threatening deployment. Hope to see ya 'round.

Dont do it Seph! Try to get some of your fellow 133rd guys to fill some of the full time NG jobs the Mountain Co. people might be leaving vacant.

You've got an excellent military history under belt. Its time to stick with the 133rd and let the Mountain Company go and do their thing. I think Marcel (here on MS) is going to be one of the ones going with the Mountain Company.

Congrats 133rd.

Best wishes Mountain Co.

I know there are a couple of us on MS that used to be in Mountain Co. We'll be thinking about our Mainers all the time.
