Axxis MetalMaster pads...anyone used these?

Time to get new pads for the wagon, current one's have almost 40K on them now. Looked into pricing and reviews on EBC's, Hawk's, and Axxis', and thinking about going with MetalMasters. They just seem to fit my criteria best, which is (in order of importance to me)

1. Dusting

2. Price

3. Longevity

4. Performance over OEM

So, anyone actually use these before?

We've got Axxis Ultimates on the RS. They're pretty good. I liked the EBC Red Stuffs better. But i think the Ultimates would be more on par with the Greens.

Compaired to stock, they are great! But those are the Ultimates(ceramic).

Dust was pretty bad at first. Had to wash the rims more then once a week. Seams to be better now though.

Just my thoughts on axxis pads. Not bad for the money(little cheaper then reds), but i'll probably run something different next time.

That's why I'm leaning towards these right now. The Ultimates, Reds, and Hawks seem to be way more performance than I need (or want). This is my DD after all. I looked into Green's, but the reviews all seem to be the same. Excellent reviews from people who have only heard they are good, but not too good from people that actually bought them (mikebike). The MetalMaster's seem compairable to the Green's from what I've read, in that they've got better stopping and less dusting than OEMs, but at about $60 less for a full set than Green's and no complaints whatsoever about noise.

The other one's I was looking into is Axxis Deluxe+ pads, which are about $15 less than the MM's, put looks like they give up the performance and dusting a bit.

The metalmasters may be a good pad for you, especially if you are just spirited daily driving. I actually had those on my Lancer I used to autocross. Nice brakes, good initial bite but they couldn't handle the temps that the pads I've used the last couple of years (Hawk HP + on the WRX which I love and Carbotech Panther Plus from my Sentra).

1.The Axxis breaks tend to have a TON of dust. that's not something I care about, but there was a lot, one of the most I've ever had I think.

2.The price of the Axxis pads are about as cheap as you can get for a good semi agressive pad.

3. like 40k miles and about 2 and 1/2 years of autocross and they still had plenty of pad left on my Lancer.

4. Like I said above, at least for my lancer they have better than stock initial bite (with the wrxs I'm pretty sure it would easily have better bite). They dont handle really high temps that great, but they are still great in cold temps. (unless you are on the track you should be good)

I think JSC Speed has the Axxis pads for a pretty good price.

My Green's squealed like stuck pig no matter what I did to try to correct it. They stopped well, but i'll take poorer braking vs. going deaf.

Ended up going back to the stock pads which are fine for my semi daily driver. My stockers now have a crapload of miles on them and I should think about replacing them in the next year... probably go with the Hawk's or MM's.
