I think this is the first time ever I have actually left the house on BF, let alone bought something. Usually I hide in the bomb shelter and try to avoid the rampant consumerism at all costs. However, this year I scored a couple games (big surprise) I have been wanting for a while, and didn't even leave the house until the clerk-killing crowds had dispersed.
Fallout 3 for PS3, $40. Rolled out of bed at a leasurely 8:30am, and ordered it off Amazon.
Dead Space for PS3, $30. Target BF deal, but the closest Target is 1/2hr away, and I knew they'd be sold out, so I took the flyer into MallMart at about 3pm (which was a graveyard by then) to get them to price match. Cashier said no at first, but we grabbed a manager who promptly put said idiot cashier into her place and gave me the deal.
Dualshock3 controller for $30. Radio Shack deal, again sold out early in the AM. Again brought the flyer to MallMart, no arguments this time.
Nintendo DS Lite - Pink Ribbon (Susan G. Komen Limited Edition), $100. My youngest daughter's 2yr old DS finally gave up the fight yesterday...after a drop on the pavement. Perfect timing for this one to go on sale on Amazon, since I certainly didn't plan on buying a new one this soon. And it's the best edition too, if you ask me.
So, anyone else got any good tales?
