Blew up something in my engine and looking for some help

i bought my 2005 wrx off a guy that was in this subaru group. I currently have had something go wrong with the engine and its knocking.. I have some parts to put on my wrx and wanted to keep my xpt stage 2 reflash that is on my ecu. The old owner jeff grenier had this ecu xpt reflash done by people in this group. looking for someone help on this

 
Dude if the engine is knocking that is a very bad thing. Is it knocking when its at idel then gets worse as you give it gas? If so then you have internal engine problems.

 
ya we think its the rod bearings, if its something worse im having a fully forged block made with aftermarket internals that will handle a lot more. was just seeing where i could find someone to tune my ecu to keep the xpt stage 2.. i just got a new hks bov and aem coldair intake. if i switch out the blocks itll definitely need the remapping as i know.

 
dude,i thought you owned an STI ,not a rex......Id like to take a look at you ride sometime seeing we live in the same town....If you ask gate4jg real nice ,he might be able to help decipher what your engine problem is.....there are a few of us from B-town...Ive never heard of the guy you said had owned the car before you.whats his sn? later wzrd/out [dad of des]

 
You got that jeff dudes car? that's a bummer..... Sorry I dodnt have much of anything constructive to say I did the reflash on that car and the previous owner was lacking of knowledge to say the least.

 
a lot is being changed, its being painted black also..the whole block is most likely being swapped out if they cant fix/make it better with whats in it. nate do you think youd be able to help me out with the tuning once i get all the engine work done since you know what that car is like? that is my main need out of this all... ya this is jeffs old car, he sold it to me last summer but the trunk is silver as the car it doesn't have the same headlights anymore though

 
current though wizard my car wont be around until july 12th because i lost my license for a while..giving me time to put more into the car

I would love to help but I cant really do too much good since I kinda left the subaru scene and sold my stuff. I would be happy to help with any questions you have though

 
oh damn huh, well if you know how and theres a way we could itd be sweet, wont need to do that for a month or so though. sounds like i will have to find someone who is willing to help me out with a low price..its costed me quite a bit so far
