BMW 1M Euro Delivery

Thought this was a cool post on Jalopnik. It's a running diary of a guy who is picking up his BMW 1M via the Euro Delivery, which is where you fly out to Germany to pick up your car. You get a tour of the factory and all sorts of other cool stuff. I've had M on my mind lately...

Disclaimer: I know critics have been negative about the 1 overall, but it's more about how cool the Euro delivery is. As car people I think we can all appreciate how awesome this would be.

That was a nice read. Great pics too.

The one thing that really popped out... 1.80EUR/L gas in Germany, CAD$130 per fillup! EEch! And people here are b!tching about expensive gas.

that 1M is purty dang groovy lil ride. love the cartoon fenda flares and fat M1-sourced wheels n tires. so many scoops flares slats and diverters....

looks like the bodywork is shrink-wrapped over the mechanicals, like wearing a tight muscle shirt...when ya got it why not flaunt it.

sign me up! silver w/twin black stripes (on the car not just the ones the back wheels leave behind)
