my friends say my stock 02 wrx has about 14 pounds stock boost but its only hitting between 7 and 10. and ive noticed that it doesn't quite pull as hard as my last 02 wrx. what could be the issue?

someone correct me if I'm wrong but you only hit peak boost in 4th and 5th gear on a stock wrx. so all other gears would be around 7-10psi

2005 LGT's suck.
Is the car running a stock tune? Is the CEL on? An 02 sensor may have something to do with it. Also, make sure to check all of you hose fittings, I had a similar problem, it turned out to be a pinched hose from the vacuum line to my boost gauge.

i didnt set up the boost gauge so idk where the line is running and my buddy had a hard time finding it to. where do they usually run and connect to?
that would make send if i could only peak it at 4th and 5th but im pretty sure it was still only around 10 in 5th on my way to work this morning ill check to see again on my way home tonight.
