Brake question(s)

Skier!
About a couple of months ago, I replaced my rear brake pads. I didn't use anti-squeal :BangHead:. I replaced them on the advice of a dealer when I was getting some other work done. They said the fronts were OK.

Ever since, I have a light metallic scraping sound. Mostly when going straight. It doesn't seem as bad when turning. And goes away when braking. It sound like the wear indicator, but wouldn't that squeal when braking?

Now I am not the greatest mechanic, but I do know enough to pay attention to how things are assembled and replicate that when re-installing. I'm pretty sure I got them back together properly. Any suggestions? Should I just take 'em apart again and try anti-squeal?

I know it's impossible to diagnose a noise here, but if you have any advice I would appreciate it.

Brakes can do that. Get a rock stuck or pad clip not quite right, or something. A rear on the RS started doing that a while ago.

I took both rears apart, cleaned everything and reassembled.

And by anti-squeal you mean the things the attach/stick to the back of the pad right? I always use those so i don't really know if they really make a different or not.

I thought there is/was a compound/grease that you put between the metal "shims" on back of the pads and the calipers???????? :dontknow: Kinda like never seize.
